Plant Nowadays The Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant is the most major engineering company in the CIS countries, designing and manufacturing the industrial tractors and the engines for them as well as being fertile in technological and production resources. The high skilled engineers and workers are able to resolve the complex tasks of designing, testing and serial production of the new machinery. At present the plant puts on the market the machines applied in the oil, gas, metal mining, construction and other branches of industry. The Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant is the leading company in the markets of Russia and the CIS countries in the segments of the industrial crawler tractors, bulldozers and pipe layers.

The Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant total area comes to 1,5 млн.м².

Over 13000 employees are engaged in the ChTZ mainline production. Total volume of production in realization prices in 2010 was 205.4 mln USD (w/o VAT).

In some segments of Russian market – such as bulldozers and pipe-layers of the most requested classes – ChTZ keeps leading positions. Over 15000 enterprises are the consumers of ChTZ products in Russia and all over the world. Hundreds vehicles are exporting every year. In 2010 machinery was delivered to 25 countries (among them 8 - CIS countries).

The Chelyabinsk Tractor Plant has the foundry, forging, press welding, machining, coating, thermal and galvanic production capacities.

The following big departments are included into the ChTZ-URALTRAC, ltd:

At present in the mainline production of the enterprise over 13000 units of equipment are applied.

This equipment ensures the turnaround of engineering machines, engines, spare parts and other types of products. The equipment manufactured by all machine-tool plants of Russia and CIS countries is mounted at the factory as well as the equipment produced by the major and well-known world companies: "Messer", "Behringer", "EMAG", "Triumph", "Schenck", "Reinekker", "Naxon-Union", "Agaton", "Muller", "Nagel" (Germany); "Scoda" (Czechia); "Krause", "IGM" (Austria); "Starrag" (Switzerland); "Toyoda" (Japan); "Rambaudi" (Italy), as well as by the machine-tool plants of Poland, Romania, and Hungary, etc.

ChTZ-URALTRAC produces a wide range of road-building vehicles and it is updated constantly:

• Tractors 10M, T10M2, T11 (drawbar category 10 t), T12, T13 (drawbar category 15 t)
• Bulldozers B10M , B11 , B12, B13 (drawbar category 10 t - 15 t)
• Heavy Bulldozers DET-400 (drawbar category 25 t)
• Pipe-layer cranes TR12 и TR20 with 12,5 t and 20 t load-carrying capacity
• Wheel front-end loaders: PK-30 (bucket capacity 1.6 m3), PK-46 (bucket capacity 2.4 m3) and PK-65 (bucket capacity 3.6 m3)
• Compactor BKK-1 for compression of domestic and industrial wastes
• Fork-lift Bulcanar–ChTZ, load-lifting capacity 1.25 t – 10 t
• Diesels with power up to 1350 HP
• Spares to ChTZ-machinery (including tracks, rollers and spare parts to precious tractor models – T(B)130 and T(B)170)
• Self-propelled repair module T-0,2.03KD (on the base of mini-tractor) with crane-manipulator, welding generator, and different hydraulic implements

ChTZ-URALTRAC was one of the first Russian machinery-building enterprises which got Certificate of Conformance stated correspondence of quality management system requirements to Russian ones of GOST R ISO 9001-2001 in field of design, development, production, service and repairing of produced machinery and goods.

In 2009, engineering products received a certificate from an independent authoritative international organization TUV (TUV Rheinland) and was awarded the CE mark (according to European standard). In 2011 Ministry of Economic Development of Russia declared ChTZ-URALTRAC for the 5th time the Best Exporter among the machine-building enterprises of Russia.

The plant is rewarded with the Order of Lenin (1971), the Order of the Labor Red Banner (1983), the Order of Kutuzov of the first grade (1945), the Order of the Red Star (1944), Vietnamese Friendship Order (2003), Order of Dimitri Donskoy (2008).The Experimental Plant and the Design Department for Diesels are rewarded with the Order of Lenin (1944 and 1945 respectively). Twelve tractor-constructors were honored as the Heroes of Socialist Labor.
